Since September 2001, SDAB has provided the San Diego area with both quality ballet instruction and professional quality ballet productions. Since 2004, SDAB’sproduction of The Nutcracker is a San Diego favorite with beautiful costumes, lavish sets and world-renowned guest artists who join the talented students of SDAB to perform at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido.  In 2007 and 2008, SDAB successfully performed a full-length production of a classical favorite, Don Quixote. In addition, each year concludes with a performance, which in the past has included excerpts from Paquita, Raymonda, Les Sylphides, La Bayadere, and Swan Lake.  This Spring, (2011), SDAB presented excerpts from Sleeping Beauty. This end of the year performance was not only an opportunity for dancers to showcase their talents in ballet, but also was an opportunity for them to showcase their talents in other dance forms including Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary Ballet, Musical Theatre and Tap.
